Making A Profile For Online Dating: Be Truthful!

During the span of 5 years of my experience in online dating, I found an interesting fact that a hefty percentage of profiles (both men and women), lie about them in some way or the other. In case of men, it’s mostly the height factor which they lie about, and most of the women are dishonest about their weight.

In the profile I created, I indicated my interest in men having a height of 6’0” or more. As an outcome, I had a chance to meet a few men who claimed their height to be matching to my criteria. But when actually met, I found they were large and much shorter than what was mentioned in their profile. Being honest, in the years of my online dating, I got a chance to meet dozens of men, and according to my estimates, approximately 80% of them were totally deceitful with respect to their height.

Mostly all online dating websites are common in one advice, and that is to attach a picture along with the profile. You will get more reactions to your profile if you provide a snap, compared to the reactions without snap. First time when I posted my profile, I neglected the idea of attaching a picture. The reason was most common that I did not want anyone I already know to end up onto my snap online. Almost 2 weeks later, not satisfied with the amount and kind of attention I received, I uploaded a picture. What else, the response was quick and instant. I was almost flooded with responses. So as you see, the site owners are never wrong! The profile which has a picture included definitely gets more responses than the one without it.

A small advice when posting a picture to profile would be that please attach a picture that is not very old, or recent. The term recent means which is not more than 2 years old. Many a times, the daters upload pictures which are 9 to 10, and sometimes even 15 to 20 years old, taken during the times when they were 60 pounds lighter, had additional hair, and finally before they started to look like the present day themselves. Not anything can be more annoying than meeting a dater who has posted picture is older than dirt. Many a times, they don’t even look what they claim to be. So never post an age old picture of yours. Do not invite embarrassment, better that you post a recent snap.

I have some cases to my knowledge, wherein women have simply walked away on dates with men who were not honest in terms of their physical portrayal. And I demand they should! So if you’re planning to date online, be honest. Do include a recent snap of yours. Not anybody will be interested in seeing you what you were 15 years before, and will be expecting to see you like that when they meet you. This will only invite bad response from the other end. So better put aside the humiliation and annoyance, and try to be true from the very start.

You can search a reverse cell phone lookup directory and find cell phone number as well as some background information.
